Serving Saratoga; Conversations with Community Leaders

They care for hungry and homeless neighbors, maintain nature trails, put on concerts, keep seniors active, preserve our historic buildings, and so much more! They are the leaders of Saratoga’s social impact sector. What inspires and energizes them? How did they get into these unusual careers? What are their greatest hopes for our community?  What good advice can they share with us?

Serving Saratoga happens monthly on the last Tuesday from 4 – 5 PM. We start with a 30 minute conversation with a nonprofit leader followed by an informal half hour gathering where nonprofit workers and volunteers can meet up to swap news, ideas and encouragement. All are welcome to come recharge and connect!

This Month's Speaker:
Maggie Fronk
Chief Executive Officer, Wellspring

Maggie Fronk was born and raised in Latham. She’s worked her entire professional life in human services, initially with people suffering from serious mental illness. Fronk has also been active with people living with HIV/AIDS, and the unhoused.

As chief executive officer of Wellspring, Fronk is responsible for all aspects of agency operations, including fiscal oversight, regulatory compliance, grants management, program development, supervision of professional staff, community collaborations, fundraising, and fund development and participation in local and regional coalitions. She has revised service utilization and program evaluation tracking tools to more effectively analyze program effectiveness and outcomes evaluation. Fronk has expanded Wellspring’s supporter base through community outreach activities, which affords increased fiscal stability for the agency. Her work expanding grant funding from foundation, corporate and government funding sources, and donor contributions has secured the resources needed for program expansion and improved service provision. A primary focus throughout her leadership at Wellspring has been fostering community awareness and involvement in responding to issues of intimate partner violence. Through personal connections with donors, Wellspring has increased community awareness and personal actions in support of their mission.

Wellspring’s vision is to end relationship and sexual abuse in our community by supporting survivors and engaging our community. If you’d like to be a part of that goal, Maggie Fronk would love to chat.
