Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday–Friday, 4:00 AM start
Base Pay: $21.50/hr

Job Summary

As a Driver Trainee, you’ll learn all aspects of our Delivery Department standards while working toward obtaining a Class A CDL—opening the door to a future role as a Driver. You’ll assist your assigned Driver with safe, timely delivery and merchandising of beverage products, all while providing outstanding customer service.

Licensed Driver Trainees may drive independently, cover routes, or support route drivers as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

Delivery & Merchandising

• Deliver customer-purchased products to assigned accounts daily
• Stock coolers and shelves neatly, ensuring proper product rotation
• Pick up empty cases and kegs at each stop
• Follow all safety and company policies at all times

Customer Service

• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• Report issues promptly to your supervisor
• Resolve customer service concerns quickly and professionally
• Document and report all accidents, incidents, and injuries

Self-Management

• Evaluate and solve problems independently
• Complete tasks within committed timeframes
• Adapt to changes and overcome obstacles with flexibility

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NYS Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record (eligible to pursue Class A License)
• Minimum 2 years of general work experience, including at least 1 year of driving or delivery experience
• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Must notify supervisor at least 2 hours before shift if calling in sick (voicemail, text, or email not accepted)
• Wear company-issued apparel and personal protective equipment
• Proper use and maintenance of company-issued equipment

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Work safely and follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Report all on-the-job accidents or injuries immediately
• Exposure to varying weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold)
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 165 lbs. with or without assistance
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, reaching, and balancing
